We have spent the past 4 days in Darwin and will be here until Mon 28th June..we extended by 2 days. On Sunday we caught up with our ex Sema4 Park neighbours sisters Lyn and Jill and her husband Murray from Tanunda who are also on the road. Lyn lives here in Darwin. On the Sat the 3 of them went fishing at Dundee and Jill caught a 1.1 metre Dewfish plus some Blue Salmon..so guess what we had for dinner..fish.fish and fish..delicious!! A couple of scotches and a red finished the night well so Di had her first drive since we left home some 4300k's.
Today we left just after breakfast and spent all day at Litchfield Park seeing the Wangi Falls, (that's where Di is standing)..it is closed for swimming at the moment until they are sure that there are no crocs around!!!onto Tolmer Falls, Buley Rock Holes, Florence Falls and the Magnetic Termite Mounds. We did not swim at Litchfield Park today as the kids are on holidays and there were heaps of people there. It was very inviting at Buley Rock Holes. We came back through Batchelor and had a swim in the pool here at The Oasis Caravan Park where we are staying. We had to have our windscreen replaced yesterday so did the shops over in Darwin CBD.We went to Fannie Bay Sailing Club for a couple of drinks and tomorrow 23rd we are meeting our friends from Kang Is. Julie and Robbie Matthews for drinks and dinner at the same venue...and to see the sunset. more news later in the week.
